A Long Night
I’m sure that I’m not the only girl who has done this… well, at least the only geeky girl. I’m sure that I’m not the only one who’s stayed up until the wee hours of the morning playing video games or watching anime.
That’s precisely what I did. I stayed up late both playing video games and watching anime.
Now, granted I have issues with insomnia. So, it’s not like I can easily just go to sleep. Instead of doing what you’re supposed to do with just working on falling asleep. It doesn’t work with me. I get bored and frustrated.
So, instead of just sitting there bored, I’m doing something.
I’ve run out of manga to read. I do have a book I could read, but I always forget that I have it. So, I’ve been working through anime. I’ve watched all of Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED Destiny (and I realize that I still need to finish my write-up on that and post). I’ve been very slowly making my way through Gundam 00. I’ve also been watching Marmalade Boy. Last night I just finished 2 seasons Sekaiichi Hatsukoi (which is the spin-off to Junjo Romantica). I also managed to make it through the two seasons that are available of Junjo Romantica. (I plan on doing a write-up of Sekaiichi Hatsukoi and Junjo Romantica together.)
So, does this make me an otaku?
Yeah, I think it might.
Am I as hardcore as most otaku?
I’m pretty sure I’m not.
But I admit the geeky things that I enjoy. Why should I hide it? I love that I like geeky things. I like that I have for… well… since I was a kid. If it’s geeky or nerdy and you enjoy it, just go with it. Enjoy what you can.
